India gate is without a doubt the first monument that comes to mind when
we cogitate about Delhi. In my opinion, it is the biggest epitome of
Delhi Tourism. It was initially known as the All India War Memorial as
it incurs the memoir of thousands of Indian Soldiers who died in the
First World War. Sir Edwin Lutyens designed this magnificent monument
and the construction was completed in 1931. An undying flame known as
‘Amar Jawan Jyoti’ is positioned underneath the arch of this edifice.
This flame reveres the martyrs.
